This year's inaugural skating party at Four Season's was a huge success! More than 50 Brookdale skaters laced on some blades for a great neighborhood get-together. We hope to add this event permanently to the BHA social calendar. Thanks so much to Beth Siwicki for thinking of and planning this event.

Thanks to everyone who joined us at Esteban’s for BHA’s Adult Mixer last month. It was a great place to eat, drink and socialize. And, congrats to the brave couples who took to the dance floor for Brookdale’s private salsa lessons.

The Brookdale Homeowners' Association is looking for volunteers.

We need your help and support to fill important positions on the BHA board.

 · Vice President ~ helps with board meetings & the welcome committee
 · Social Director ~ plans and coordinates our social events
 · Newsletter Editor ~ compiles info, articles & ads for 10 newsletters per year

Board members meet once every 1-2 months for a few hours to discuss BHA business and spend on average 5 hours per month pitching-in. If you're interested in serving your community, meeting your terrific neighbors and helping to keep Brookdale the best subdivision in Naperville.

Please join us on Friday, February 29 for a BHA-only showing of the new film “The Spiderwick Chronicles”. Admission is $6 per person, which includes pop and popcorn. Doors open at 9:30 a.m., and the show starts at 10 a.m.

Brookdale neighbors can enjoy some outdoor fun together without having to brave the elements. Join us at All Seasons Ice Arena on Sunday, February 10th from 3:30pm to 5pm to skate with friends and family. We can almost guarantee that you will have a great time and lots of laughs

Please join us for Happy Hour(s) at Esteban's on Saturday, February 02 from 6pm to 8pm.

Esteban's is a new restaurant featuring live music and salsa dancing. It is located at 1550 N. Route 59 in the same shopping center as Brookdale Music.

We will provide dinner (nothing has been finalized, but fajitas and appetizers have been mentioned) as well as an open bar. After dinner, Esteban's will provide free instruction for salsa dancing until closing.

The cost is $20 per person for the evening.

If you are unable to come for dinner, please drop by, and you can chat with your friends and buy a drink for yourself at the cash bar.

As well as being your on-line resource for Brookdale, the BHA and the BRC we aspire to be a place you can connect with your neighbors, chat and keep up-to-date on important news and events in and around Brookdale.

You can create an account by clicking the "Create new account" link to the left, in the "User login" box. Once you've logged in you can post messages and receive important updates about the site.

Please take a few minutes to browse the new site. You should find all the same information your used to, in the same places, with some minor exceptions. If you have trouble finding something there's a handy new "Search" tool that will point you in the right direction.
