Civic Chats
The Brookdale Neighborhood Association Civic Committee hosts Monthly Civic Chats to help residents stay informed, engaged and connected with the issues shaping our community.

These informal gatherings bring together Brookdale residents and local civic leaders for open conversations about topics affecting our neighborhood and the broader Naperville area. Each session features a guest speaker or subject matter expert who shares insights and answers questions in a relaxed setting.

Civic Chats are designed to make local government and community issues more accessible. Whether the topic involves schools, parks, development, sustainability, or city initiatives, the goal is to create a space where neighbors can learn, ask questions, and participate in thoughtful discussion.

What to expect
  • Informal, conversational setting
  • Local leaders and experts discussing current issues
  • Opportunities for questions and open discussion
  • A chance to connect with neighbors who care about the community
These events typically begin with a short presentation followed by Q&A and open conversation.

Have a topic suggestion?
The Civic Committee welcomes ideas for future conversations. If there is a local issue or community topic you would like to see discussed, please contact the Brookdale Neighborhood Association.
