Fourth of July Parade & Picnic
There's nothing quite like the Fourth of July in Brookdale! Join us for our annual Fourth of July Parade and Picnic and be part of one of our neighborhood's most cherished traditions! Brookdale residents and non-residents alike are invited to participate in the parade and picnic.

Immediately following the parade, all are invited to Fox Hill Greens Park (next to the Brookdale Racquet Club) for our neighborhood Picnic in the Park. Bring your lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and enjoy an afternoon of shade, food and great company with neighbors and friends. We’ll be grilling burgers and hot dogs as we continue the celebration together.

Parade route update
At the request of the City of Naperville and the Naperville Fire Department, Brookdale Road will remain open during the parade to allow emergency vehicles access to an important exit route. We are, of course, happy to comply to help keep everyone safe. The updated route is actually very similar to the parade route from years ago, so while there is a slight adjustment, the spirit and fun of the parade will remain exactly the same!

Sign up to be in the parade
Get ready to walk, roll, ride, or drive your way through one of Brookdale’s most beloved traditions! Everyone is welcome to participate. Decorate your bike, build a float, bring your pets, form a group, dress up, or showcase a talent—we want to see your patriotic spirit! Prizes will be awarded for most patriotic, most creative, and best decorated wheels. Want to be in the parade? Sign up here. We also need volunteers—help hand out candy, assist with line-up, or drive a convertible in the parade.

Help with the parade
Help us make Brookdale's Fourth of July Parade a success! We're looking for a few volunteers to assist on parade day. Volunteer opportunities include: assisting with parade line-up at Hill Middle School from 10:30-11:00am, handing out candy along the parade route, and convertible owners to drive in the parade. If you're interested in helping, please complete the parade volunteer interest form and we'll follow up with additional details.

Help with the picnic
Planning is underway for the Brookdale Neighborhood Fourth of July Picnic, but we need your help to make it happen! Join us right after the Brookdale parade at Fox Hill Greens Park (next to the Brookdale Racquet Club) for a neighborhood picnic. Bring your chairs, picnic blankets, and enjoy the shade, food, and great company. Planning is in full swing, and we’re looking for volunteers now. There are a variety of short volunteer slots (30 minutes to 1 hour max), from setup and grilling to cleanup and everything in between. Even lending a cooler makes a big difference. Sign up to help with the picnic.
